UI DLC General Resumption Date – UI DLC Director , on behalf of the Acting Vice-Chancellor, warmly welcome all students into a New Year, while thanking God for his unending goodness to us at the University of Ibadan Distance Learning Centre in the outgone year.
As the director extend his appreciation to God on behalf of every learner on the UIDLC platform, He is also using this medium to commend all students for unflinching support despite the daunting challenges of 2020, especially the global Coronavirus pandemic, which will soon be a thing of the past.
Kindly be informed that the management of the DLC has made good its commitment to activate online interactions with Learners in order to keep academic activities running.

Towards reactivating academic activities in the new year, you are enjoined to take note of the following information:
RELOCATION OF UIDLC OPERATIONAL BASE
According to the director, I am delighted to notify you that the Centre’s Administrative activities will be moved to its new Administrative Building which is situated in the premises of the UIDLC CBT Centre.
The idea of situating the Administrative Building at the CBT Centre was conceived in order to centralise the administrative processes and activities of the Centre, thereby minimizing the overhead cost of maintaining two office complexes in Ibadan.
The commissioning of the project was done on Thursday, 12 November, 2020 by the immediate past Vice Chancellor, Professor Abel Idowu Olayonks FAS.
OUTSTANDING RESULTS
I solicit your understanding and patience concerning the release of all outstanding results, including the results of Final Year Learners, which are being compiled by the Programme Units (Departments) for the consideration of the DLC Board of Examiners, following which the results would be released to Learners.
THE UIDLC PORTAL
The UIDLC Portal is still opened to Learners for the payment of school fees and the registration of courses, an opportunity that the DLC Management expects you to take advantage of before the portal is shut down to pave way for the Continuous Assessment and subsequently First Semester Examinations.
INTERACTIVE SESSION
In the face of daunting challenges faced in 2020, the UIDLC Management continues to fine-tune plans to enable it forge ahead in the operation of the 2019/2020 Academic Calendar, as evidenced by the on-going preparations for the First Semester Interactive Sessions.
UI DLC Resumption Date 2021
NOTE THAT THE INTERACTIVE SESSION HAS BEEN SCHEDULED TO COMMENCE THIRD WEEK OF JANUARY, 2021.
This will be followed immediately by the 2019/2020 First Semester Examinations. The Interactive Session timetable will be released in due course.
THE FIRST SEMESTER 2019/2020 ACADEMIC SESSION EXAMINATIONS WILL COMMENCE SHORTLY AFTER THE INTERACTIVE SESSIONS.
As we face the promising NEW YEAR ahead, I should let you know that in the spirit of our modest achievements in previous sessions, the 2019/2020 Academic Session would be reviewed in line with the calendar of students on the face-to-face mode of educational delivery.
In the light of this, your support is again solicited to have a smooth academic run when it is released. We are committed to enhancing and improving on our service delivery in the new Academic Session.
Be assured that the UIDLC Management has your best interest at heart, as well as a commitment to your academic well-being. I solicit your continued support and understanding which is a true depiction of the maturity of University of Ibadan Learners on the Open and Distance Learning mode.
