WAEC Subjects Requirements
Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, History/Government/Economics one (1) Science subject and any Arts or Social Science subject.

JAMB Subject Combination for Sociology
For Social Sciences: English, and any three (3) Social Science or Arts Subjects.
For Arts: English, Government/History plus two (2) other Social Sciences/Arts subject.

JAMB Required Score
The minimum JAMB score for sociology in University is 180. However, the actual cut off mark may vary depending on the institution, So aim for 200 and above to stand a better chance of gaining admission into any university in Nigeria

Direct Entry Requirements
Two (2) ‘A’ level passes including Government or History.

UTME Subjects: Three (3) Social Science or Arts subjects. O’LEVEL Requirements: Five (5) SSCE credit passes in Government or History, English Language and three (3) other subjects. A pass in Mathematics is required
JAMB Score: minimum of 200.
