Higher institutions and education in Uganda refers to education that is post-“A” level. Only students who have successfully completed “A” levels and passed their Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education are eligible to enter postsecondary higher institutions in Uganda.
There are number of approved higher institutions in Uganda and the courses they offered. Makerere University and Mbarara University of Science and Technology are among the approved higher institutions in Uganda. Others are discuss below.
Higher institutions in Uganda: This is the form of education provided or pursued at the post-secondary level; sometimes it is referred to tertiary education which leads to the attainment of certificate, diploma or degree.
The active participation of universities or tertiary training institutions in high level research activities thereby producing cutting-edge knowledge for problem solving.
