Of all the universities in the world, FUDMA is one of the hardest into which any student can gain admission. Although there are several reasons as to why FUDMA is among the hardest universities in Nigeria, we need to first dive into having a grasp of FUDMA’s identity.
The Federal University, Dutsin-Ma is a non-profit public higher-education institution that was founded in February 2011. It was located in the urban setting of the small city of Dutsin-Ma (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Katsina.
Officially recognized by the National Universities Commission of Nigeria, FUDMA is a coeducational Nigerian higher academic institution. It offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study.
The school also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services just like most accredited institutions across the country.
Why FUDMA is Among the Hardest Universities in Nigeria.
Some universities which are ranked as best in Africa and generally in the world do not certainly give the comfort zone for admission on cruise, one of these great universities is FUDMA which though is mostly recent when compared with these other ones. So, here are the few reasons FUDMA is among the hardest in Nigeria.
1. Admission Requirements
One of the major reasons why FUDMA is among the hardest universities in Nigeria is the issue of admission requirements. While getting admission into other many universities may be easy in all ways, FUDMA has got a very complex admission process in terms of O’level and UTME requirements. As you know that in Nigeria, there are only a few universities where you can get admission without much stress. My point here is that as much as it is hard to gain admission to most Nigerian universities, some are even more difficult to gain admission into.
As for FUDMA, it is very compulsory that any student who’s going to study there passes both Mathematics and English at least at credit level. Without this, no admission.
2. Age Factor (Maturity)
There are universities in Nigeria where admission is easily awarded to students who may unripe for the academic challenges that await them at the tertiary level. FUDMA is never like that. If a candidate is not almost 18 years of age and maybe intellectually mature, there will never be any chances of getting entry into the school on admission. It is another reason why FUDMA is among the hardest universities in Nigeria.
3. UTME and Post-UTME Screening
The post-UTME screening in FUDMA is always a very hard one. Precedent to this is the school’s expectations for high score in the UTME result. Then, the post-UTME awaits the students to help facilitate the confirmation of the candidates’ maturity level for academic challenges and intellectual tests.
4. Infrastructural Facilities and Academic Resources
FUDMA being one of the recently established schools does not make it run short of the adequate facilities expected of an aspiringly world-class university. Though it is sponsored by the Federal Government and the State Authority, no one walks into its premise without getting a mouth-gaping surprise at the modern facilities and resources which it has put in place.
