Bayero University Kano Courses

To get  admission into the programmes to study at the Bayero University for any first degree or second degree, an applicant must have the following requirements for successful admission.

  • Admission Cut off mark and Requirements Bayero University Kano through UTME

Candidates who wish to apply via UTME must have sat for the UTME Examinations, must have met the cut-off mark and scored an aggregate in subjects relevant to the programme they are applying for before they are deemed eligible for admission into the Bayero University kano.

The cut off mark for admision into Bayero University Kano is 180 and above and the pass mark for post UTME is determined by the University in subjects relevant to the programme applied for.

To gain admission to study Bayero University Kano Courses, prospective candidates must have obtained a minimum of five (5) passes at Credit level in the National Examinations Council (NECO) or Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) or its other equivalent.

These subjects are to include a pass at credit level in both English and Mathematics and other subjects relevant to the candidate’s chosen field of study.

This result must be obtained in not more than two (2) sittings. After this, they would be required to register and write a test (Post -UTME) which is conducted by the University.

  • Admission Cut off mark and Requirements Bayero University Kano through Direct Entry.

This depends on additional qualifications possessed by an applicant. Applicants via direct entry must possess either of the following:

  • OND (with merit),
  • NCE
  • IJMB (with a minimum of 8 points)
  • GCE ‘A’ Level (3 credits)
  • HND (Pass)
