The Faculty of Law in Ghana universities offers a three-year and a four-year Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) programme aimed at preparing students for careers in the legal sector. Thereafter, the student will proceed to the Ghana school of law for professional law courses.

The requirement to study law in universities in Ghana includes:

  • WASSCE/SSSCE:  Candidates must have six credits (A1-C6) in English, Mathematics and Integrated Science and three elective subjects, making an aggregate of no more than 36.
  • Others: Degree holders in any discipline may be admitted into level 200 for a three-year LL.B programme.

Applicants who are admitted to undertake the Professional Law Course are enrolled as Barristers at Law and Solicitors of the Supreme Court upon their successful completion of the Course.
