Different news on the TV about the bad things happening in the world right now. Much of these news may though not be ‘healthy’ as most of their reveals are capable of causing many attendant citizens of the world so many cardiovascular problems–which they may not be able to cope with.

Isn’t it unfortunate to note that the world where unalterable peace is expected to truly thrive, given the legion of armies owned by the world powers to keep all national or private policies under control, is the same world where the so called ‘guardian angels’ (the world powers) also blatantly position themselves as the martial predators against the weaker countries purposely for exploitations and self interests? Surprising.

Naturally, some events are not decided nor are they intended by human reasoning or actions, no matter how careful or careless. However, these natural but unfortunate occurrences would not cease their fire against the same world (check out history!), thereby rendering the world helpless, and ceaselessly in need of help.

The Bad Things Happening in the World Right Now.

What then are the bad things happening in the world right now? It is time for us to talk turkey about them one after the other:

• Poverty

Poverty, as one of the bad things happening in the world right now, is a state or condition in which a person or community lacks the financial resources and essentials for a minimum standard of living. Poverty means that the income level from employment is so low that basic human needs can’t be met. A lot of lives, dreams, talents, skills, and visions have been famished, shut down, killed, and destroyed just because of the ravaging claws of poverty.

Poverty is linked with negative conditions such as substandard housing, homelessness, inadequate nutrition and food insecurity, inadequate child care, lack of access to health care, unsafe neighborhoods, and under resourced schools which adversely impact our nation’s children.

• War

The history of the world is a history of war. Several backwardness happening in the world now is owing to the adverse impact of war on the people and property. War is a conflict carried on by force of arms, as between nations or between parties within a nation. The war in Afghanistan, Ukraine, Russia, China, and so many more are records of the bad things happening in the world right now.

• Pollution

Pollution is the introduction of harmful materials into the environment. These harmful materials are called pollutants. They damage the quality of air, water, and land and everything by which humans grow and sustain their existence. Over the years, pollution causes health hazards and they also promote the rise of different classes of diseases. They undoubtedly are caused by several human nefarious activities such as war, vandalizations, inappropriate open event planning, etc. since pollution of various kinds are also the negative end-products by which humans destroy themselves.

• Terrorism

Mostly caused by religious fundamentalisms and political totalitarianism in government–these two positions struggling for untamable lust for unassailable power, terrorism is one of the bad things happening in the world right now, and which seems insurmountable no matter what corrective measures are organized against it. It is the consequence of the human restless nature, that is, the greed for dominance and power.

• Climate Change

The World Health Organization (WHO) calls climate change the greatest threat to global health in the 21st century. Climate change threatens people with food and water scarcity, increased flooding, extreme heat, more disease, and economic loss. Though the impacts of climate change on different sectors of society are interrelated. Drought can harm food production and human health. Flooding can lead to disease spread and damages to ecosystems and infrastructure. Also, human health issues can increase mortality, impact food availability, and limit worker productivity. These dangers can really mar and zap the peaceful continuity of the world’s process. Therefore, it is one of the bad things happening in the world right now.

• Murder

The unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another is daily increasing. The world is presently strangled by the neck with the fear of the known since killing, that is, murder is now mounting the catbird seat of power in the society.

• Global Warming

Global warming is a gradual increase in the earth’s temperature generally due to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, CFCs, and other pollutants. Consequently, it stresses ecosystems through temperature rises, water shortages, increased fire threats, drought, weed and pest invasions, intense storm damage and salt invasion, just to name a few.
