Academic City College History
Academic City College, a National Accreditation Board accredited accredited institution, was launched in 2009 by the Eureka Africa group, with a mission to deliver much needed affordable modern education to develop a competitive labor pool in Ghana.
Since 2009, Academic City College has been a standalone facility in Ring Road, Accra that was popularly known for its affiliated programme with Sikkim Manipal University (SMU).
Over the course of 9 years, Academic City College has graduated over 3,000+ students from over 23 countries in Africa.
The College’s alumni have established themselves as distinguished professionals in various fields, working at reputed organizations such as international banks, manufacturing firms, corporate offices, government departments, financial institutions and educational institutions in Ghana and West Africa.
In 2017, the group recognized the re-adjusted need for premium quality tertiary education infused with entrepreneurial thinking, innovative problem-solving, application-based learning, and an emphasis on ethical practices, within the African context.
Henceforth, the Eureka Africa group re-positioned Academic City with a renewed purpose and a brand new campus, to deliver transformative, modern-day tertiary education.

Admission Requirement
- ENGINEERING
For students who wish to pursue a 4 year engineering programme:
- WASSCE/NECO
6 credit passes with minimum C6 including 3 core subjects (including English, Maths and Science) and 3 elective subjects (including Elective Maths, Physics and a science subject).
- SSSCE
Minimum D or a pass in 6 subjects including 3 core subjects (including English, Maths and Science) and 3 elective subjects (including Elective Maths, Physics and a science subject).
- IGCSE O-LEVEL & A-LEVEL
Minimum of 5 credit passes in the IGCSE O-Level (including English, Maths, Physics and Chemistry) and 3 passes or grade D in the A-Level (including Maths, Physics and Science/Additional Mathematics).
International Baccalaureate
Mathematics and Physics SL with 5 or better OR Mathematics and Physics HL with 3 or better. Credit passes in 5 O-Level subjects (including English, Maths and Physics).
- Mature Entry
Candidates 25 yrs of age or above by 1st Sept. 2018 can apply as mature candidates and must qualify the mature entry exam (contact us for details).
- IT, BUSINESS & COMMUNICATION ARTS
For students who wish to pursue a 4 year programme in IT, Business or Communication Arts :
- WASSCE/NECO
6 credit passes with minimum C6 including 3 core subjects (including Math + English) and 3 elective subjects
- SSSCE
Minimum D or a pass in 6 subjects including 3 cores subjects (including Math + English) & 3 elective subjects
- IGCSE O-LEVEL & A-LEVEL
Minimum of 5 credit passes in the IGCSE O-Levels (including Math and English) and 3 passes or grade D in the A-Level
- English IB
Minimum score of 4 in 3 higher Level (HL) subjects & in English & Mathematics
- French IB
Minimum of 50% pass including Mathematics and English
- American High School
Minimum GPA of 3.0
